Why buy it when it’s so easy to make at home ?
Makes 6 cups
What you’ll need:
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup pepitas (shelled pumpkin seeds)
- 1/2 cup raw spanish peanuts
- 1/2 cup raw almonds
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, combine oats and nuts, and add canola oil and maple syrup. Mix thoroughly.

Pour out onto a cookie sheet, and spread out into a thin layer.

Bake for 15 minutes. Add raisins and use a spatula to stir and redistribute the granola. Bake for 10 minutes more. Let the granola cool completely on the cookie sheet and then break it up into bite size pieces. Store in a tightly covered container.

The rolled oats are the base for the granola. You can use any variety of nuts and dried fruits (dried fruits are added after baking the oats and nuts for 15 minutes). Some ideas: cashews, pecans, dried cranberries, dates, you can even add coconut or chocolate (chocolate would have to be added after the cooling process).
Healthier than granola from the store!
